What's the difference between coaching and consulting?

Coaching is about guiding you to uncover your own answers—so you can build systems and make decisions that truly fit you.
Consulting tends to be more prescriptive: someone tells you what to do and may even do it for you. That’s helpful when you need an expert to build a thing now (like an employee handbook or a job description template).

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how you want to lead, coaching will serve you better. I’ll help you get clear, build skills, and create your own way forward—without handing you a generic solution.

Will you build my HR systems for me?

Nope—and that’s a good thing. Coaching with me is about helping you lead with intention, not doing the work for you.

We might talk about hiring, giving feedback, team culture, or performance reviews, but you’ll be the one deciding what fits, what needs to change, and how to implement it. Think of me as your guide, not your ghostwriter.

What’s your coaching style like?

Candid, warm, and occasionally funny (when it helps). I’m not here to cheerlead mindlessly or nod politely. I’ll ask real questions, offer reflections, and hold you accountable to the version of leadership you want to embody. I’m a coach, not a therapist—but we’ll definitely get into the good stuff.

What if I don’t have a team?

Totally okay. Leadership isn’t just about managing others. It’s also about leading yourself, your business, and your time. Many of my clients come to coaching in a transition—starting something new, changing careers, or stepping into leadership for the first time.

How long is the coaching engagement?

Most clients work with me for 4 months, meeting weekly or biweekly. That gives us time to make meaningful progress, try new strategies, and build systems that stick. I offer 12-session coaching packages, with flexible scheduling to meet your pace.
